Senior Data ScientistWe're looking for an independent and curious data expert who enjoys working with clients to get to the heart of the problem. In this role, you'll work on various data challenges without a rigidly defined assignment, so a broad range of interests and experience are essential.
Your work will range from developing machine learning algorithms and implementing GenAI models to preparing and transforming large datasets with tools like PySpark or developing an end-user interface. Because the field is broad, you'll have a solid foundation of knowledge and know exactly when to involve specialists.
We have open positions in Eindhoven and Amsterdam, so choose the location that suits you best!
This is your dream job if:
- You want to guide your customers in their data maturity from initial insights to predictive algorithms;
- You want to help your customers implement their first Gen AI initiatives;
- You enjoy developing and producing ML models that contribute to predictive maintenance and operational efficiency, for example;
- You are enthusiastic about designing forecasting models that enable price, demand and inventory optimization.
Your role:
- Lead & Define Strategy: Guide clients in data strategy; design end-to-end data science solutions (architecture).
- Develop & Deploy: Take ownership of the development, validation, and production deployment of robust ML models.
- Collaboration & Mentoring: Work closely with domain experts, engineers, and stakeholders; mentor juniors.
- Communicate: Translate complex findings into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Influence: Help shape the technical direction of ML/AI and best practices within the organization.
You are:
- Besides being a very good data scientist, you are also communicative, creative, enterprising, analytical and a team player.
You have:
- A Master's or PhD in a quantitative field (Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Econometrics, etc.);
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience building and implementing ML solutions in production environments;
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Python for data science;
- Deep understanding of ML algorithms (supervised/unsupervised), statistical modeling and validation techniques;
- Understanding of GenAI and how to effectively use this technology for realistic and scalable applications;
- Proficiency with SQL and data querying;
- Solid experience with Git version control;
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP);
- Familiarity with MLOps principles and deploying/maintaining models;
- Excellent command of the Dutch language, both oral and written.
