As part of our project teams, you will work directly with clients and support the implementation of data and AI use cases – from data preparation and modeling to business impact validation. You will gain first-hand experience in how AI and advanced analytics transform enterprise processes.

The role
As an Intern in Forward Deployed AI Engineering, you will bridge data, processes and business transformation.
You will work alongside our consultants and engineers to:
- Explore and prepare enterprise data for analytics and AI use cases
- Support the development of machine learning models, dashboards and process analyses
- Contribute to the design and testing of AI-driven insights and solutions that deliver measurable impact
- Help prototype and validate use cases that improve key business KPIs
- Present findings in a structured and understandable way to internal and client stakeholders
What you will do
- Support delivery of analytics and AI solutions that create measurable impact
- Build and maintain data pipelines, transformations and dashboards tailored to project needs
- Prototype analytical and AI use cases together with client teams
- Work with SQL, Python and analytics frameworks to generate insights
- Contribute to cavalis’ Data Intelligence Factory by helping turn project solutions into reusable assets
Qualifications you need
- Strong communication skills in German and English
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset
- Practical experience in Python, SQL and familiarity with ML or analytics frameworks (e.g. pandas, scikit-learn, Power BI)
- Interest in process mining and a strong motivation to learn technologies such as Celonis
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or similar, with excellent academic results
- High motivation, curiosity, and the desire to work hands-on in real customer environments
